| ARCHITECTURAL PROJECT MANAGER

We are looking for an ambitious, talented, and self-motivated individual to join the Quatela team as PROJECT MANAGER. The position of Project Manager will be managing, designing, and assisting with building mixed-use, residential projects and commercial spaces at multiple scales in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut with a possibility to expand the range area.

The Project Manager will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, providing strategic planning and creative design for clients requiring the firm’s unique perspective for their challenging projects.

They will be responsible for managing the production of designs, presentations, and working drawings while coordinating with personnel and firm resources. They will be responsible for maintaining relationships with clients, organizing a workflow, structuring fee schedules and leading a team.

| EXPERIENCE

5+ years’ work experience and at least 3+ years of experience in preparing architectural or engineering drawings and construction documents for mid-rise and high-rise buildings.

| EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture. License to practice architecture in New York is a plus.

| RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for production and coordination of project presentations, design, and working drawings.

  • Collaborate with the team in forming the conceptual framework for projects.

  • Demonstrates the ability to assume responsibility for effectively managing a team, including professionals, clients and consultant teams while producing quantifiable results.

  • Supervise production of all design plans for a project utilizing CAD and REVIT

  • Responsible for determining and organizing functional requirements, providing programming and space planning.

  • Collaborate in the selection of building materials and product research.

  • Responsible for coordination with diverse professional consultants (MEP, Structural, Interior designer, General Contractors and expeditor(s))

| QUALIFICATIONS

  • Interpersonal, organizational and communication skills for use in an interactive design team environment, and an ability to work on a variety of project scales from schematic design, design development to producing construction documents.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is a requirement.

  • Fluency in Revit is a plus.

  • Knowledge of SketchUp, Windows 365, and Adobe Suite is a plus.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with oral and written communication skills, in-person and with clients for execution of a complete project.

  • Ability to work in an open office atmosphere as an individual and as part of a team.

  • Experience with NYC Building Code & Zoning Regulations as well as International Building Code is highly recommended.

  • The candidate must be self-motivated as well as the ability to work within a team setting in a rapid work pace environment.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in the areas of collaboration, team participation, creative problem-solving, conflict resolution, group planning.

| JR. ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER

We are looking for an ambitious, talented, and self-motivated individual to join the Quatela team as a Junior Architectural designer / architectural design draft person with high possibility for growth.

The draftsperson will aid the Project Manager and team in the design of mid-rise and high-rise, mixed-use buildings, at multiple scales in the state of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut with a possibility to expand the area range.  The candidate will work under the supervision of a lead project architect within an interdisciplinary team on production of conceptual designs, presentations, and construction drawings.  The position offers the candidate the possibility to learn and engage in all phases of the construction documentation process; from project inception through design, bid process and construction administration through completion.

  • Ability to work in an open office atmosphere as an individual and as part of a team.

  • Be able to measure and document a building and identify building systems.

  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills.

We are currently seeking an Architecture office Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will exhibit high standards, excellent communication skills, and have an ability to take initiative, and prioritize daily tasks. | RESPONSIBILITIES

  • All-Round position handles & coordinates office staff calendars, helps team scheduling and confirm meetings, and general correspondence as needed.

  • Responsible for file organization based on office protocol

  • Working closely with project managers and DOB expediters for daily follow ups.

| QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience working with an architect, engineer, expediting or contracting company preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Strong organizational, communication (verbal & written) and leadership abilities.

  • Ability to multitask.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, QuickBooks (training will provided).

  • Knowledge of NYC Department of Buildings filing process (DEP, DOB, DOB NOW) is encouraged - Training will be provided.
